Here as follow there are the reasons why we have selected lovecalabria.com :
1) In the collective imaginary Calabria is seen like a dangerous land and full of rigands.
2) the other two names seem us too much long.
3) Calabrian destination could not be used in international way.
4)Love Calabria because of like the people that have chosen the name, we love this land too.
5)Because we want discredit the myth that portray this land as if it were only in the hands of criminals and brigands.
In 2004 I remember to have read a Diary, written by Luigi Vottorio Bertarelli one of many travellers passed through Calabria, (journalist writing for “il corriere della sera”, which is the most important Italian newspaper, and founder of the current Italian Touring Club) , in 1897 departed from Milan arrived in Reggio Calabria after 36 hours travelling by train he takes his bicycle and went up Calabria to Naples, on the outskirts of Cosenza was arrested by Carabineers, because of took a gun with him (even if he had the firearm licence) because of he was the only individual armed they had seen over two years of service.
